Prior to our client’s bespoke safari we organised an immersive dinner experience with 15 of the most creative & interesting South Africans at one of Cape Towns premiere villas - Pentagon.  

Working with our talented local catering partner we designed an experience that highlighted an exploration of South African cuisine, music, and culture. The theatrical imaginative dishes included an homage to bbq traditions with each guest grilling their own prawns and a fermented pumpkin pampoenkoekie donut with burnt wood icing and roasted aubergine caviar. We brought an expert somelier to pair each dish with a local South African wine and describe the history and process of each vinter.

The tablescape and event design used frutis and plants from the Chef’s farm in addition to seasonal flowers. Our signature candle light brought just the amount of light to the faces of each guest to assure they could speak and engage with each other.

We flew in Johannasburg Musician Leeu to play a custom soundtrack so while the Chef’s describe each dish the sounds from nature played in the background. After dinner the guests enjoyed a dance party on the terrace.
